We are pleased to announce that Brad Darnall will be the new principal at South Marshall Elementary School. Darnall was selected by the school's SBDM council.
Darnall has over 18 years of experience in teaching math and social studies and is in his second year of serving as assistant principal at Benton Elementary.
Darnall grew up in Marshall County, attended South Marshall Middle School, and graduated from Marshall County High School in 1997.
In accepting the position, Darnall said "I'm so excited to join the SMES team. It's an honor to return to the Southside at SMES to work alongside their amazing staff, students, and community. I can't wait to continue the great things happening at South Marshall Elementary."
Darnall will replace Jennifer Harris, who is retiring. Darnall's official start date as principal is July 1st.
